Web Design
Q: Do you have any examples of other websites you have worked on?
A: Yes, please visit the web design portfolio page for lots of examples of recent work and work going back as far as 2004. If you're unsure why not ask for a web design quote - it's free.
Q: If I want to make changes to my website after the initial web design, can you help with this?
A: Chris Smith is happy to make simple text changes free of charge. Images or more complex content, e.g. tables, will be charged at £25 per hour pro rata.
Domain Names and Web Hosting
Q: Why don't you offer a package with domain name, web hosting and website design like other web design companies?
A: Chris Smith believes in charging a fair price for his area of specialism - website design and website marketing, not marking up services provided by third parties. Chris also believes in giving the customer full control over their website so that they choose to come back, not because they feel they have to.
Q: Should I register the .com or the .co.uk domain name or both?
A: It depends on the individual circumstances and market you're targetting but, in general, when you're first starting a new website a .co.uk domain should suffice and will keep the start-up costs to minimum. You can always buy the .com once your website's paying for itself. However, if your business name is already widely known it may be wise to register the .com too.
Website Marketing
Q: Is there a risk free option with the website marketing?
A: Unfortunately not. As Chris's website marketing techniques go from nothing to completion in a single step there is no way of offering a free trial.
Q: Some other companies only invoice for SEO upon achieving rankings. Would you work on this basis?
A: Chris Smith is happy to work on a 'no ranking no fee' basis provided an agreement can be reached defining clear targets and rewards.
Q: Can you help with any other services such as banner advertising or pay-per-click (PPC)?
A: Chris Smith can help with these services. Please ask for a quote.
